Countryside Houses

The images in the Countryside Houses series depict houses that are characteristic of the Hungarian countryside. I started collecting photos of interesting houses during my trips, and now I have images from various parts of the country in my folders. Wherever I go, I almost compulsively search for houses that contain something intriguing to me, whether it's a pattern or color, a crack, or perhaps a gate, window, or roof.

Recently, much attention has been drawn to environmental destruction, but these images aim to highlight a positive human trait: the ability to turn a simple house into a home. The richness and diversity of reality in terms of form fascinates me, which is closely aligned with representation, drawing, and painting. Holiday homes, Swabian houses, Kádár cubes, and peasant houses all have their own unique aesthetics, each revealing something about the people who live in them, often serving as portraits of their owners.
